The DHS parents and volunteers are the backbone of the Takedown Booster Club. Without them the Wrestling team would be far less enjoyable for the wrestlers, the coaches and the parents. There are many ways people can volunteer to help that can make the difference between a succesful dual/trounament and/or season and an unsuccesful season. There are opportunities from helping at the individual events to helping with the year end banquet or helping with fund raising. Please see below for the various areas that are available and find one that is suitable for you skills and talents and volunteer!
Meets
| Role | Responsibility |
| Tournament Coordinator | This person makes sure that there is food, water and enough volunteers to fill the various needs. |
| Score Keepers | These folks will work the various mat tables keeping track of scores, running the clock and working with the referee. See the Meet coordinator to volunteer. |
| Fund Raising | This will be key to our success in 2010-11. We will need 100% participation. |
| Food | At every event the wrestlers typically will be wrestling more than once and therefore they require some food between matches. We try to get granloa bars, bagels, bananas and oranges donated so the wrestlers will have something to eat. |
| Water | This goes without saying we will need between 3-4 cases of water for each event. |
| PB&J Duty | A main staple to the tournament diet is the PB&J sandwich, For each event we will need up to three loaves of PB&J's. See below for schedule. |
Fund Raising
With all fund raising we have tried to pick popular items that give us a great return, require us to track no inventory and require a minimal time commitment from our parents, coaches and wrestlers. Each wrestler is expected to meet the following fund-raising goals:

Butchers ChoiceThey offer premium steak, chicken, pork and seafood packages. The wrestlers will collect the funds and orders will be placed. Pick-up and delivery will be on given dates and times. Brochures and order forms can be printed from attachments at right. |

ESPN Magazine SubscriptionsThis popular magazine is for a two year subscription to the magazine for a $40 price. This is a weekly publication so it works out to less than $0.40 per issue. You also get two years of the ESPN Insider. The order form is on the right as well. Monies will need to turned in to coaches or Booster Club. |

DHS $1500 Visa Gift Card RaffleThis raffle is for a $1500 Visa Gift Card and is sponsored by the Duluth Athletic Department. Tickets are $10 and the drawing will be held at the December 17th Basketball Game against Chatahoochee. |
Food/Water/PB&J Duty
It's messy and not very much fun but if we spread the 'fun' around it can be less of a chore.
